Day 1 Hays, KS: Our journey west begins at Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s Botanical

Garden exploring seven themed gardens showcasing the beauty of the Midwestern

landscape. Visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, known for its vast art collection from

nearly every continent and culture around the globe. Overnight in Hays, KS. Dinner

included.


Day 2 Denver, CO: Arrive in the Mile High City! Learn about the distinctive Gardens of

the West at Denver Botanical Gardens showcasing plants that thrive in Colorado’s climate.

A horticultural wonder, see water gardens and plants from all corners of the world. Unpack

for a 4-night stay. Breakfast, dinner included.


Day 3 Colorado Springs: Named the country’s “Best New Attraction” by USA Today, visit

the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum. Dedicated to celebrating America’s

greatest athletes and their compelling stories, the museum boasts 12 galleries, interactive

exhibits, and countless artifacts. After lunch at Edelweiss German Restaurant take a

guided tour of the one of the most photographed natural wonders in the United States,

Garden of the Gods. With its spectacular red rock formations against a backdrop of snowcapped Pikes Peak, the park is truly awesome in spring. Breakfast, lunch included.


Day 4 Denver: Join our local guide for a Denver tour including the Colorado State Capital

Building and historical highlights. Visit the Denver Art Museum, the largest art museum

between the West coast and Chicago to explore their vast collections of American Indian

art and works across the centuries and the world. In Littleton, CA, stroll through the

Hudson Gardens along nature trails with spectacular view of native wildlife, towering trees,

floral displays and more. Breakfast, dinner included.


Day 5 Vail, CO: Visit Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, the world’s highest botanical garden

(8,200 feet) in beautiful Vail. See the stunning alpine botanic collections while admiring

the dedication to conserving the high mountain plants and habitat. Learn about alpine

flora, mountain environments and the history of the beautiful gardens. Free time to explore

this quaint mountain town. Breakfast, dinner included.


Day 6 Salina, KS: Bid farewell to the Rocky Mountains as we travel to Kansas. Stop in

Colby to explore the decorative arts collection at the Prairie Museum of Arts and History –

including the largest barn in Kansas! Overnight in Salina, KS. Breakfast, dinner included.


Day 7 Return Home: Before heading home, arrive at the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman

Memorial Garden to view lush and diverse plant beds. See the featured local and exotic

botanicals, including some plant varieties not found elsewhere in the Midwest. Not to be

missed, this distinctive garden has playful fountains and elegant pieces by bronze sculptor

Tom Corbin. Breakfast included.
